Billionaires For Bush Thank President Bush for Pro-Billionaire Budget Proposal

Billionaires Nationwide To Blanket White House with Letters of Appreciation in Honor of "OUR President's Day"

New York, NY, February 18, 2005 — In gratitude for President Bush’s pleasing budget proposal and in recognition of “OUR President’s Day”, Billionaires For Bush (B4B), advocates for the corporate elite, commence a campaign of glowing thank you letters to the White House. Across the country, Billionaires and their supporters will praise the President’s 2006 spending proposal and its clever omission of the budget items most closely aligned with Billionaire interests, such as the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the proposed privatization of Social Security. The letter is available at: http://billionairesforbush.com/budget.

Billionaires For Bush have long enjoyed the President’s policy of favoritism for corporations and the super-rich at the expense of ordinary Americans. But they are especially pleased with the 2006 budget proposal and its significant nod to the Billionaire agenda.

Tex Shelter, Director of Disinformation, expressed admiration for the President’s creative accounting practices. “He completely disguised the cost of the wars. Now no one can complain about the $350 billion taxpayers will pay over the next ten years. I do the same thing when I cook my corporate books,” Mr. Shelter said.

He continued with enthusiasm: "The President also ignored the price tag to eliminate – I know, I know, I’m supposed to say privatize – Social Security. $5 trillion in transition costs over the next 20 years is a little unpleasant, but with Bush’s discretion we can reap the profits in peace. Wall Street will make billions in brokers’ fees – even when people lose money!”

Additionally, the Billionaires commend the proposed budget cuts to veterans programs, healthcare, education, environmental protections programs, and even Homeland Security.

Mr. Shelter said, “Our ownership of America has reached new heights! Public investments in schools, housing, and roads are becoming a thing of the past. The middle class will struggle more and more to make ends meet, working three jobs while we enjoy the takings.”

“OUR President’s Day” is the perfect occasion for the Billionaires to express their appreciation to President Bush with an overflow of thank you letters. They love this budget. And, of course, they love THEIR president.
