The “Get on the Limo” tour will sweep through the battleground states of PA, OH, MI, WI, MN, IA, MO, and TN putting a local spotlight on the concerns of the very rich. Billionaires in their finest formal attire will parade through cities large and small from Oshkosh, WI to Cleveland, OH, holding “Rallies for the Really Rich,” “Cheney is Innocent” vigils, and face-to-face discussions with the local gentry. “The real battle this election year is in these contested swing states, where support for Kerry undermines our platform of continued favoritism for those who can afford it,” said Monet Oliver D’Place, Billionaires for Bush National Limo Tour Director. “The term ‘corporate cronyism’ gets tossed around like it’s a bad thing.” In addition to their signature street theater performances, the Billionaires for Bush musical revue, the Bling Bling K’Ching Singers, will perform, and readings from the soon-to-be- released Billionaires’ book Billionaires for Bush: How to Rule the World for Fun and Profit, (pub: Avalon) have been scheduled at numerous bookstores. The tour will further expand on the over 50 local chapters in the fast-growing Billionaires for Bush phenomenon. “President Bush has awarded $1.1 trillion in tax cuts to the wealthiest 1%,” said Milli O’Nair of the Meadville, PA, Billionaires for Bush chapter. “I’m participating in the tour to remind all the working-class voters of their $400 tax refund. We’re all winners under this administration. Just some of us more than others.” The tour kicks off at the Democratic National Convention, on Wednesday, July 28, after a joint news conference with America Coming Together (ACT) and Arianna Huffington. The press conference will begin at 10:15am and take place at The Old West Church, 131 Cambridge Street (corner of Staniford St.), Boston: www.oldwestchurch.org. Photo opportunities with the Billionaires and their flag-decked Limo will be possible at the beginning and end of the news conference. The Get on the Limo Tour will conclude a month later with much fanfare at the Republican National Convention in New York City on August 29 where the Billionaires will stage a massive “Million Billionaire March.” About Billionaires for Bush Billionaires for Bush is a do-it-yourself street theater and media campaign that uses humor to flush out the truth about the Bush administration's disastrous economic policies.
